Ty Lawson: I’m Missing Piece To Houston Rockets NBA Championship

Ty Lawson

There’s no denying that Ty Lawson is a very solid NBA point guard. But at this stage of his career, he’s likely a notch below an All-Star and will be at best a third-wheel behind James Harden and Dwight Howard on the Houston Rockets.

That said, the former Denver Nuggets star believes he’s the man the Houston Rockets need to succeed this season as he feels he’s the missing piece for their supposed title run.

“I was like before I even came to the team I was talking to James (Harden),” Lawson told Fox News 26’s Marc Berman. “I was like ‘man get me over there.’ I’ll be that piece to (help) get over the hump. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air.”

Perhaps we’ll see a rejuvenated Ty Lawson when he steps on the basketball court this season and he’ll return to his former glory. But first, Lawson is going to need to deal with his off-court drinking issues.

Assuming he can put that behind him, perhaps he has a point.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
