Toronto Raptors Interested In Kevin Garnett Trade?

Kevin Garnett

While Kevin Garnett hasn’t exactly expressed frustration playing for the Brooklyn Nets, it seems pretty evident the power forward would be open to a change of scenery. Might that be with the Toronto Raptors?

Garnett can be a bit picky and verbally combative so it’s unknown if he’d be willing to waive his no-trade clause to play for the Raptors, but he’d have a chance for a deep run in the playoffs if such was to happen.

As of right now it’s not known if the Raptors have held any Kevin Garnett trade talks with the Nets, though Grantland believes the current NBA living legend along with David West are serious candidates to be moved and Toronto could have interest.

Terrence Ross has been coming off the bench since mid-January, and though he can shoot, the rest of his game has stagnated — especially his defense. The Raps are listening to incoming offers on Ross, per several league sources, and a couple of power forwards on borderline playoff teams stand out as intriguing targets: David West and Kevin Garnett.

Garnett would be relatively cheap and provide not only a decent game off the bench, but locker room leadership and toughness. Those aren’t things you can easily grab on the trade market, so it makes sense as to why the Toronto Raptors could have trade interest in Kevin Garnett.
