Timberwolves Willing To Trade Thaddeus Young, Nets Interested?

The Brooklyn Nets appear ready to blow things up before the NBA’s upcoming trade deadline though appear to have interest in acquiring Thaddeus Young of the Minnesota Timberwolves. That’s apparently welcoming news for the T’Wolves as they are said to be open to trading the forward.

That’s the word from ESPN’s Marc Stein who says the Timberwolves would have little problem moving on from Young whom they acquired this past offseason.

Why exactly the Nets are interested in a veteran considering they need to completely rebuild is a bit odd, though it’s understandable as to why the Timberwolves are more than willing to let him go.

It’s not assumed the T’Wolves are interested in Brook Lopez, though Brooklyn doesn’t exactly have a ton of assets Minnesota would be interested in so it remains to be seen if the two would be good trade partners. Either way, it appears as if the Brooklyn Nets are interested in Thaddeus Young and the Minnesota Timberwolves are open to trading the forward just months after originally acquiring him.
