Timberwolves Want To Trade Anthony Bennett

Anthony Bennett

When the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Anthony Bennett with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, many questioned the move. It wasn’t that Bennett didn’t have talent, but he really didn’t look like he deserved to be the top overall selection.

So far, those who questioned the move have been proven correct as the former UNLV star had one of the worst rookie seasons in NBA history and was eventually traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves this past offseason in the Kevin Love package.

Now it appears his time with the Wolves is coming to an end, or at least, that’s how the Timberwolves would prefer it as they willing to trade Anthony Bennett.

Bennett has fallen out of the T’Wolves rotation which says something considering they’re among the worst teams in the NBA and don’t have much in the front court blocking him from capturing playing time.

It’s unlikely they’d be able to trade him for anything of value, so perhaps the Wolves are just hoping a team will be willing to take him on as a project and alleviate themselves of his contract.
