The Brooklyn Nets have been shopping center Brook Lopez hard in recent days and it’s possible they may have found a willing trade partner. In fact, they may have found two as the Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder are said to be engaged in a three-team deal which would also include Lance Stephenson.
A big name offseason free agent addition, Stephenson hasn’t worked out for the Hornets who have also been shopping the veteran. Now ESPN’s Chris Broussard says the teams are discussing the potential blockbuster deal. Jeremy Lamb and Jarrett Jack would be packaged to Charlotte.

There would likely be other pieces involved in the alleged trade for salary cap purposes, though that’s the meat and potatoes of the potential deal which probably has fans from all three teams gritting their team.
Brooklyn would understandably love to rid themselves of Brook Lopez’s injury concerns and hefty contract while Charlotte appears to have buyers remorse with Lance Stephenson. As for Oklahoma City, they probably come off the winners in the said deal considering Lopez would help reinforce their defense for the postseason. Of course, he has to be healthy to do so which is far from assured.
