NBA News: Thunder Will Match Blazers Enes Kanter Offer Sheet?

The Oklahoma City Thunder say they have a plan when it comes to Enes Kanter and that includes apparently matching his four-year, $70 million dollar offer sheet.

General manager Sam Presti says he spoke to Kanter the other day and suggested that he knew a lucrative offer sheet was coming. But the most important part of his converstation with Kanter was hinting that the OKC Thunder plan to match the offer sheet given out by the Portland Trail Blazers who are reeling from the loss of LaMarcus Aldridge.

Matching the Enes Kanter offer sheet would put the Oklahoma City Thunder well into the luxury tax, though unless they finish the season in such, they could avoid paying the penalty. That of course wouldn’t be the biggest issue however as such a contract would turn up the heater on Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant rumors.

Then again, the Oklahoma City Thunder GM says he has a plan and so far, he’s proven more often than not, he knows what he’s doing.

Is he bluffing? Will they match? We’ll see relatively soon.
