While Draymond Green was getting drunk, Klay Thompson was being shy, Andre Iguodala was being awesome and Stephen Curry was keeping things short at sweet, three people were shot at the Golden State Warriors parade on Friday afternoon.
The shooting occurred near East 18th St. and Lakeshore Ave. on the eastern edge of the lake, said police. It wasn’t immediately clear what the motivation behind the shooting was.
“I heard a few pops that sounded like firecrackers at first,” said an eyewitness, who declined to be named. “People scattered in every direction and I could see one victim lying in the street.”
It’s believed that at least two of the victims are male while the third is unknown.
Over 500,000 people attended the Golden State Warriors parade, though, the acts of one (or a few) certainly put a very somber damper on the day. Hopefully those shot will be okay.
