Stephen Curry Wants To Retire With Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry

If Stephen Curry has his way, his jersey will be hanging in the rafters or Oracle Arena (or whatever the Dubs new stadium will be called) because Steph Curry wants to retire with the Golden State Warriors.

The NBA MVP recently said the idea of NBA free agency doesn’t do much for him and he’d more or less prefer to avoid the hoopla surrounding such. Now he’s all but put the ball in the court of the Warriors front office, suggesting that he wants to stay with the franchise for the rest of his career.

“Hopefully not. Hopefully everything works out and I can finish my career here. I’ve probably got like 10 good years left.”

Good news for Warriors fans? It doesn’t sound like Stephen Curry ever plans to leave. Bad news? Only ten years left? In all honesty, another decade is a long time and not everybody can have the longevity of a Kobe Bryant, but still – as impressive as Stephen Curry is on the court you never want to think about retirement, even if it is 10-years away.

For now though, it appears as if the Golden State Warriors don’t have to worry about another team swooping in *cough* New York Knicks *cough* trying to snag their franchise superstar away.
