ESPN Poll: Stephen Curry Is America’s Favorite NBA Player

Stephen Curry

Move over LeBron James. Take a seat, James Harden. Kobe Bryant, your time has come and gone.

That’s because Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is American’s favorite NBA player.

Such news isn’t exactly shocking considering not only did Steph Curry win the NBA MVP award, but the Golden State Warriors star is one of the most fun players to watch in all of sports – let alone basketball.

Like many iconic basketball players before him, when on the court, Curry’s game looks effortless. Like a varsity high school player taking on a bunch of fourth-graders, it’s a man among boys. Sure, there are times when he has the off night and he looks human – but those are seemingly far between.

Really, the only other player who could even challenge Curry in terms of popularity at the moment would be James, but after he departed the Cavs to join the Heat and then back to the Cavaliers, opinions on him changed.

Granted, if another player has an absurdly good season come the 2015-16 campaign, perhaps America will have a new favorite basketball player but it’s going to be difficult to surpass Stephen Curry as the Golden State Warriors star isn’t just among the best in the NBA – he’s among the elite in all sports.

I mean, Stephen Curry does have a chicken dish named after him…
