When the Los Angeles Lakers selected D’Angelo Russell with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, things went wild. That lead the Sixers to select Jahlil Okafor leaving Kristaps Porzingis on the big board.
A potential superstar, the Knicks seemingly couldn’t pass on the big man as they selected Kristaps Porzingis with the No. 4 pick.
That sent ESPN basketball analyst and over the top personality Stephen A Smith into a complete meltdown on Twitter, which might have been the best moment of the 2015 NBA Draft.
Seriously, just check this out:
Awwwwwww Damn! The @nyknicks just can't win. We just can't catch a break!

and there are players like Winslow and Mudiay who can do things for you right now? Clearly, he thinks he's earned our trust as an exec.

And clearly he's oblivious to his own record in NY. He's lucky if Melo hasn't already called and asked to be traded. & he'd better show up

In Free Agency and get some talent on this roster. #Damn! Damn! Damn!

And sadly, that was just part of the meltdown. Stephen A Smith said he was on vacation but was so upset with the New York Knicks that he was calling into ESPN and getting on SportsCenter to complain about his favorite basketball team.
Poor Carmelo Anthony.
