Steph Curry Raps Asher Roth’s ‘I Love College’ (Video)

Stephen Curry

Although it might seem like ages ago, it was just a few years back when Stephen Curry was one of the top college basketball players in the nation at Davidson.

Few knew how well his success at a relatively small school would translate into the NBA, but there are certainly no questions about it now as the reigning NBA MVP award winner.

Of course, for all the talent Stephen Curry posseses from a basketball standpoint, he certainly doesn’t have such when it comes to rapping.

New York Times writer Benjamin Hoffman unearthed a 2009 video which featured Stephen Curry rapping to Asher Roth’s ‘I Love College’ song and the end result was, well, rough on the ears to say the least.

It’s pretty much in the DNA for basketball players to want to be rappers, though I think it’s safe to say we won’t ever have to hear Steph Curry dropping a few rhymes on wax. Then again, we probably didn’t think we’d hear Kobe Bryant and Tyra Banks put together a rap song either.

And Allen Iverson, well, that was pretty rough as well.

At least Joe Smith and Shaq are acceptable, right? Right?! Okay, maybe just Smith?

I guess the Steph Curry rap could have been worse though.
