I’ll give credit where credit is due – Skip Bayless is really good at his job.
What’s that profession, you ask? Being absurdly over the top and outlandish. And if that’s your cup of tea, then it’s understandable as to why you’re a fan of the ESPN personality. But there’s no denying he strikes a lot of people the wrong way, like most recently when he decided to troll LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Despite an impressive Game 2 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, it was enter ‘Skip Bayless trolls’ mode because the former sports writer gave LeBron James a C+ grade for his 39 point, 16 rebound, 11 assist game in which he carried the Cavs on his back.
“I set my bar high for the man who is the best basketball player on this planet, and I’m here to tell you that occasionally LeBron’s overall numbers, which look sensational, once again, because they add up to a triple-double, can camouflage what really happened,” Bayless said on “ESPN First Take.”
While we can’t deny there were plenty of areas where LeBron James missed opportunities, I’m not sure how anybody could see such a performance and give him a C+ other than Skip Bayless.
