Much was made about Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant sitting down on Shaq’s podcast a few days back and for good reason – the two Lakers legends weren’t exactly the best of friends.
Despite that, the two were able to put their differences aside for a handful of years, resulting in a three-peat. But many have suggested Bryant and O’Neal could have extended that run, something Shaq agrees with as he believes he and Kobe Bryant could have brought the Lakers at least six NBA championships.
Of course, Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat because he and Kobe couldn’t get along, so we’ll never truly know what the two could have accomplished had they stayed together longer. Though, as dominating as they were, it’s not difficult to believe they could have won at least another NBA championship, if not more.
For what it’s worth, Michael Jordan has six NBA championships and Shaq says he believes he and Kobe would have at least tied him.
