It appears the long-running feud between Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant isn’t over.
Although Shaq recently praised his former Los Angeles Lakers teammates, suggesting he’d take the Black Mamba over LeBron James, now he’s back to dissing the man he once suggested he would physically harm.
As you’re likely aware of, Kim Kardashian rented out the Staples Center (home to the Lakers and LA Clippers) as a birthday present for husband Kanye West.
A collection of celebrities joined in on the fun, like Justin Bieber, but it was Shaq who made headlines for dissing Kobe Bryant yet again.
The two basketball icons have blasted each other over the years, but a freestyle rap played on the jumbotron which featured Shaq rhyming a birthday message to Kanye continued the volatile relationship.
I don’t know if Shaq never thought the freestyle rap would ever leave the Staples Center or if he didn’t care. Either way, the fact that he says he was essentially the lone and only reason for the Los Angeles Lakers early 2000 dynasty probably isn’t going to sit well with Kobe Bryant.
Let’s just hope that the Lakers star doesn’t decide to dish back at Shaq by making another rap song with Tyra Banks, like he did in the late 90’s.
