Sacramento Kings Seeking Ty Lawson Trade?

Ty Lawson

If the Denver Nuggets are open for business this offseason, the Sacramento Kings want in.

Apparently unhappy with their point guard production (or more likely wanting Darren Collison to be a sixth man), the Kings are said to be seeking an upgrade and have their eyes set on Ty Lawson of the Denver Nuggets.

This shouldn’t really come as a shock considering newly minted Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl had a wonderful relationship with Lawson during their time together in the Mile High City.

Per Howard Beck of Bleacher Report:

George Karl’s first power move as Sacramento Kings coach was to trade for Andre Miller, a trusted old hand from his Denver days. Expect more of the same this summer. Sources say Karl would love to acquire Ty Lawson—if the rebuilding Nuggets were to make him available—or any other members of his last Nuggets team, which won 57 games in 2012-13

Lawson is a talented player and one that seemingly thrives under Karl, though has had his fair share of off the court issues (though relatively minor in nature).

The Denver Nuggets are said to be unhappy with Lawson and whispers around the organization suggest he needs to grow up, though it’s not known if they’re ready to move on via a trade just yet.
