It seemed pretty evident the Oklahoma City Thunder were planning to trade Reggie Jackson before the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, but just in case they needed any extra motivation they now have it.
That’s because Reggie Jackson has requested the Oklahoma City Thunder trade him, this according to Yahoo Sports.
The agent for Oklahoma City guard Reggie Jackson has asked general manager Sam Presti to trade his client before Thursday’s NBA deadline, league sources told Yahoo Sports. CAA’s Aaron Mintz made the request in the past seven to 10 days, and several teams around the league became aware as officials probed for information on potentially dealing for Jackson, league sources said.
Honestly this appears to be more of a semantics action than anything and a suggestion that Reggie Jackson will not be happy if he’s wearing an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey once the NBA trade deadline passes.
Multiple teams are said to have interest in a Reggie Jackson trade and the Thunder have recently spoken to the Sacramento Kings about a deal, though how in-depth those conversations were are an unknown.
Either way, it seems very likely that Reggie Jackson will be changing zip codes within the next day or two as he clearly wants out of OKC.
