Earlier today the Denver Nuggets traded JaVale McGee to the Philadelphia 76ers in what many consider to be yet another cost cutting move on the part of Philly. It’s doubtful that McGee will spend long in the City of Brotherly Love and could be bought out int he coming weeks.
If that proves to be the case, multiple teams are likely to have interest in the former budding star including the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers.
If JaVale McGee is bought out by Sixers, I expect Clippers, Blazers, Raptors and Mavs to show interest. Those teams want to add a big man.

In addition, you might want to throw the Cleveland Cavaliers in the mix as well considering they are linked to just about any player available on the open market.
As for JaVale McGee, he seems to be the kind of player who does well when motivated but struggles when he’s unhappy. Given that, he might provide a playoff team a boost though he doesn’t come without a risk. However assuming a team can pick him up for cheap and simply release him if he causes any troubles, it might be a move worth making.
