Not that long ago, many believed Andrew Nicholson was a big piece of the Orlando Magic’s future. That may still hold true, but it appears as if the franchise is willing to see what type of assets the power forward would bring back as the Orlando Magic are willing to trade Andrew Nicholson, assuming the price is right.
Orlando, I’m told, has made promising young big man Andrew Nicholson available via trade in advance of next week’s trade deadline

Word is that the Magic, given their surplus of bigs, are working with Nicholson’s agent Mark Bartelstein to try to find him new home

It’s understandable as to why the Magic would be open to a Andrew Nicholson trade as their influx of big men suggests a move will need to be completed, either involving Nicholson or another player.
A former first-round NBA draft pick, Nicholson had a very solid rookie season in 2012-13 but has somewhat regressed (at least statistically) from that point and there could be looming questions about his ability to return to his former form.
Playing limited action with the Orlando Magic hasn’t helped his case, so it’s unlikely the Magic would cash in much if they were to trade the big man, though the fact he’s signed through the 2016-17 season at a reasonable price should help a bit.
