Thunder Not Interested In Reggie Jackson For David West Trade?

Reggie Jackson

The Oklahoma City Thunder aren’t exactly hiding the fact they’d like another big body. They’ve already attempted a trade for Brook Lopez and there have been rumors suggesting they might eye David West of the Indiana Pacers.

Of course, any team who has trade negations with the Thunder are likely to ask for Reggie Jackson in exchange, though Basketball Insiders doesn’t believe the two would make a match – at least not for the Thunder.

While Oklahoma City would be a good home for West as he fits what they need, giving up Reggie Jackson simply would be too costly.

The Pacers may be in need of a re-build, and getting a player like Reggie Jackson or Jeremy Lamb would be a nice start (though Jackson’s three-point shooting is pretty bad). I don’t think Oklahoma City does that trade, even though David West could be a nice addition to their front court. I think the Thunder would want a better haul for Jackson.

On the flip side, while OKC would likely hand-deliver Jeremy Lamb to the Indiana in exchange for West, the Pacers would likely be able to do better as multiple teams are and have shown interest in David West.

His price will only increase as the NBA trade deadline nears.
