Just a few days ago, the Portland Trail Blazers traded away Nicolas Batum to the Charlotte Hornets in a move that shocked many NBA fans.
Keep in mind, the Blazers, with a healthy Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Batum were a legit threat in the extremely deep Western Conference and with another move or two could have put themselves near the top.
But that’s not what happened as despite re-signing Lillard, Nicolas Batum was traded away and LaMarcus Aldridge signed with the San Antonio Spurs.
That apparently didn’t sit well with Nicolas Batum who seemingly took a shot at both his former team, the Portland Trail Blazers and teammate LaMarcus Aldridge, after news broke that LA was signing with Tim Duncan‘s Spurs.

Of course, the slight could go both ways as just as there is limited loyalty from the basketball franchises, there really isn’t much from the players either.
Unless Batum comes out and says what he was throwing shade at, we’ll never know who it was truly directed at but given the timing of it, it seems pretty certain it was fired off at either LaMarcus Aldridge or the Portland Trail Blazers.
