It appears as if the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are sharing a lot in common these days. Not only are two of the NBA’s most proud franchises struggling, they’re also seeking similar talent according to NBA trade rumors.
Earlier in the day it was said both the Lakers and Knicks were interested in a Goran Dragic trade and now NBA trade rumors suggest both are interested in a Miles Plumlee trade.

Sam Amick went on to suggest that Miles Plumlee would be open to a trade from the Phoenix Suns, though, do the Knicks or Lakers have the needed parts? While a trade for Goran Dragic is rather unrealistic considering the lack of tradeable assets, Miles Plumlee won’t be that expensive so it’s possible both franchises have enough to make a deal work.
As for Plumlee, he’s not really a starting center on a playoff team but he can certainly fill out a backup big man role very well. Add in his cheap $2.1 million dollar salary and it makes sense as to why both the Knicks and Lakers are eying the former Duke talent.
