Are the Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder getting closer to Brook Lopez trade?
It’s the deal that will never die.
For weeks the Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder have discussed a Brook Lopez trade but every time the subject comes up, the two sides decide to pull away (or at least one side does). But just hours from the NBA trade deadline, it appears as if the basketball franchises are going to make one last attempt to complete a trade.
That’s the word from Yahoo Sports who says both the Nets and Thunder could be gaining traction on a Brook Lopez trade.
Sources: Brooklyn, OKC could have traction on Brook Lopez talks again — if Nets believe they can convince Reggie Jackson to sign extension.

The Nets have seemingly pulled Lopez off the table on more than one occasion during their previous trade talks with the Thunder, though in fairness they weren’t exactly getting much of a return. It’s likely the Nets are seeking Reggie Jackson in a Brook Lopez trade (as suggested above) though Oklahoma City has previously offered talent like Kendrick Perkins and Jeremy Lamb which is why the two sides have struggled to find a middle ground.
If Brook Lopez is traded you have to assume the Thunder are one of, if not the most likely candidates to obtain his services.
