Nobody really knows what Tim Duncan plans to do this offseason, well, other than a lawyer, perhaps.
See, Duncan has suggested that his time playing professional basketball might be over as he contemplates retirement from the San Antonio Spurs.
But ‘The Big Fundamental’ is currently in litigation as he’s suing former business adviser Charlie Banks after Duncan lost a reported $20 million in investments. So what’s the big deal? Well, according to Guillermo Contreras, Tim Duncan’s lawyer has asked for the second trial to be delayed until next summer so the basketball star won’t miss any time.
Is #TimDuncan playing next year? His lawyers 2day requested trial for next summer, “so he won’t miss playing time.” Hmm #Spurs #onemoretry

Oh word?! Did this lawyer just spill the beans on a potential Tim Duncan return to the San Antonio Spurs? Or was this simply a ‘just in case’ type scenario? I doubt the lawyer would attempt to waste the judge’s time if Tim Duncan was to retire, but maybe the NBA legend has a long desired vacation planned or something.
Either way, there’s growing speculation that Tim Duncan will not retire and will play alongside Tony Parker and possibly Manu Ginobili for one more season.
