In a matter of weeks, LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers will become a free agent.
There have been whispers – more like shouts, actually – suggesting the big man could leave the only NBA team he’s ever known. Heck, some of his own teammates have questioned if Aldridge will be back.
Now the rumors have grown even louder because LaMarcus Aldridge has put his Portland home up for sale.
One month before free agency begins…and LaMarcus Aldridge’s Portland home is for sale. Take it for what it’s worth. #Blazers

So what does it mean? Well, it could be that Aldridge is simply looking to move, though you’d assume he’d attempt to do so after he re-signed with the Blazers, right? The more logical suggestion here is that he’s putting his house on the market so he can buy a new home wherever he signs in NBA free agency.
Granted, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a professional athlete put their home up for sale with a pending free agency ahead of them. And no, they don’t always leave. Though it’s pretty safe to say the timing on the part of LaMarcus Aldridge to enter the real estate market is rather suspect.
