NBA Rumors: Lakers, Mavs, Raptors Interested In Iman Shumpert

Iman Shumpert

Remember when Iman Shumpert was essentially trash the New York Knicks couldn’t rid themselves of?

How quickly things change.

Of course, playing alongside LeBron James and making an impact in the NBA Finals certainly helps build your stock, which is exactly what Iman Shumpert did after the trade and now he’s drawing serious interest from a handful of teams in NBA free agency.

According to Alex Kennedy, the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and more are interested in signing Iman Shumpert.

While not a big name signing, the addition of a player like Iman Shumpert is likely to be viewed as a good move considering he’s unlikely to command a significant salary.

Of course, the more teams that show interest in the swingman, the higher his price will climb.

It’s likely the Cleveland Cavs are interested in bringing Iman Shumpert back as well, though, they have a collection of free agents they’ll likely attend to first and they won’t likely be willing to pay Shumpert much coin given the salaries they’ll have to shell out to guys like James, Kevin Love and more.
