The Indiana Pacers have been trying to trade Roy Hibbert for months now – dating back to last season. Perhaps they’ve found a taker in the Los Angeles Lakers.
That’s the word from ESPN’s Marc Stein who says the two sides are currently discussing a Roy Hibbert trade which would send the overpaid big man to Southern California in exchange for little else other than clearing up a portion of the Pacers cap space.
Los Angeles has tried to snag multiple key free agents this offseason to pair with Kobe Bryant, but has been unable to do so. Now left with a hefty amount of cap space and few free agents on the board, it appears as if Roy Hibbert might be the best they can do.
ESPN sources say that the Lakers and Pacers are actively discussing a trade where L.A. would take Roy Hibbert into salary-cap space

It’s not even close to an ideal scenario for the LA Lakers, but one they might find themselves having to warm up to soon.
