NBA Rumors: DeAndre Jordan On Knicks – ‘I Love New York’

DeAndre Jordan

There’s no denying that Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is going to get paid this offseason, it’s just a matter of where?

With Chris Paul and Blake Griffin eating a hefty portion of the Clippers cap figure, there has been speculation that Jordan could leave the only NBA team he’s ever known. For what it’s worth, the Clippers aren’t interested in allowing such to happen and being they own Jordan’s Bird Rights, they can offer him the most money/years in a contract.

Still, there are going to be teams with cap room who attempt to chase DeAndre Jordan and one is likely to be the New York Knicks.

Asked if he’d be interested in signing in the Big Apple, DeAndre Jordan said he loves the city.

“I love New York City. I love the city. But right now I’m not thinking of free agency. I’m thinking about finishing our season off strong and focusing on the playoffs.’’

Granted, there’s a pretty big difference between loving the city and actually playing for their basketball franchise, but it does have to give Knicks fans some hope.

For now though DeAndre Jordan appears to be focused on the Clippers and will start worrying about NBA free agency when that time comes.

He could have a new teammate too if Kevin Love, who is apparently unhappy with the Cleveland Cavaliers, could have interest in the New York Knicks as well.
