To say Matthew Dellavedova is irritating would be an understatement. That of course isn’t a slight to the young Cleveland Cavaliers player. If anything, calling him a gnat is a compliment as he’s more than happy to play that style of basketball.
It’s something you love if he’s on your team, but something you loathe if you’re an opponent.
That includes the Golden State Warriors who are probably tiring of his hard nosed play, especially after Stephen Curry pushed Matthew Dellavedova come the end of the first quarter in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
It’s not very often that you see Steph Curry show such emotion, let alone actually push another player like Matthew Dellavedova but the rook has played increadable defense on Stephen Curry and has obviously frustrated the NBA MVP.
There was also some shoving going on before Curry pushed Dellavedova, so it was probably as much Curry defending his teammate as he was getting a little frustration out.
Either way, that’s exactly what Matthew Dellavedova is looking for as his gnat style of game is made to get under the skin of elite talent like Stephen Curry.
Should be an interesting rest of the series between the two.
