NBA Finals: Warriors Coach Steve Kerr Takes Shot At LeBron James

With the Warriors set to open training camp Tuesday, Sept. 30, Kerr is counting on his work this offseason to pay off in practice. Leading up to the NBA Finals, there wasn’t much trash talk between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But now three games in and the fourth to take place this evening, the NBA Finals banter is starting to heat up on the court.

Take for example this recent quote from Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who took a clear shot at not only the NBA and their referees, but Cavs star LeBron James.

James and his famous ‘crab dribble’ is notorious for traveling, something that Kerr is well aware of and called out the former MVP for his desire to walk with the basketball.

That was one of those clear, yet, subtle shots that seemingly sting a little bit more than just a full knock out jab.

Of course, I highly doubt LeBron James cares much and is focused on giving the Cavs a 3-1 lead over Stephen Curry‘s Golden State Warriors.

But don’t think this wasn’t a tactical measure on the part of Steve Kerr, who learned quite a bit playing under Phil Jackson with the Chicago Bulls. Don’t be shocked if you see more traveling calls moving forward in the series because of this.
