NBA Finals: Matthew Dellavedova In Hospital After Cavs Win

Matthew Dellavedova

Sure, LeBron James will get the glory if the Cleveland Cavaliers end up winning the NBA Finals, but he and the Cavs wouldn’t be in such a position if it wasn’t for Matthew Dellavedova.

The youngster who attended college in Northern California has played a vital role for the Cavs during their NBA Finals run and again proved his worth in Game 3 where he scored a career playoff high in points.

That didn’t even take into account all of the hard nosed plays he was involved in. But apparently the high effort took a toll on the guard as Matthew Dellavedova was hospitalized after the game.

Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova experienced severe cramping tonight following Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Cleveland. He underwent a treatment process, including an IV, that prevented him from being available for media following the game. He will continue receiving treatment tonight at the Cleveland Clinic and his status will be updated tomorrow afternoon.

After such an impressive game, many wondered why Matthew Dellavedova didn’t join LeBron James at the podium after the Cavs victory over the Golden State Warriors, but we now know the reasoning behind such.

Matt Dellavedova did take part in an interview immediately after the game came to an end on ABC, but looked very unstable and it was clear something wasn’t right from a health standpoint.

He is expected to play come Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
