If you were a big basketball fan in the early 1990’s all the way through the mid 2000’s, you’re very much aware that NBC owned the coverage rights. Not only that, to many, they were the best broadcasters (at least from a cable standpoint) and their opening intro theme song was music to the ears of every basketball fan.
Alas, NBC eventually gave up their rights and the NBA Playoffs and NBA Finals moved on (currently on ABC). But wouldn’t it be cool to see the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors in an NBA on NBC promo video?
You’re darn right it would be and thankfully a huge basketball fan with a little video editing skills created a Cavs vs. Warriors NBA on NBC theme song promo which featured LeBron James pitted against Stephen Curry.
You don’t even have to be a fan of either team, but just to see King James and Steph Curry with the NBA on NBC theme playing in the background? It will give we older basketball fans some goose pimples.
No matter if it was Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls going up against Patrick Ewing and the New York Knicks or Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal‘s Lakers taking on Chris Webber‘s Sacramento Kings, this will certainly bring back some memories.
