The Minnesota Timberwolves have little use for veteran point guard Mo Williams and given that, there’s good reason to believe the pint-sized point could be traded in the next few weeks.
But who would have interest in acquiring the vet? Well, there are a handful of teams said to have their eye on Mo Williams including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers.
Those aren’t the only teams keeping watch on the T’Wolves’ guard either as Sam Amico of FOX Sports says the Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons also have interest in Mo Williams.
Timberwolves point guard Mo Wiliiams is another serious candidate to be dealt sometime this month. The Cavs, Clippers, Pistons, Kings and Heat are all said to be interested. But don’t mistake “interest” for doing anything it takes to trade for the guy. Hard to envision either the Cavs or Pistons making a real move for Williams.
While Minnesota doesn’t have much need for Williams, that doesn’t mean they’re going to give him away, especially considering so many teams appear to be interested in the guard. Given that, they could attempt to create a bidding war, though it’s doubtful most teams would be interested in engaging in such as Williams, while nice, isn’t what you’d refer to as a “difference maker”.
