Mavs Trade Rumors: Kevin Martin deal in limbo?
For a few days now there have been whispers suggesting Dirk Nowitzki‘s Dallas Mavericks could be seeking a trade for backup shooting guard. One name linked to the Mavs has been Kevin Martin of the Minnesota Timberwolves, though Dallas isn’t alone in their pursuit of the veteran who has also drawn interest from the Washington Wizards.
Still, despite multiple teams looking at the shooter, it doesn’t appear as if any trade is imminent as there is “nothing there yet” regarding a trade between the T’Wolves and Mavericks for Kevin Martin.
The Mavs were another team mentioned by @ChrisMannixSI on the Kevin Martin trade front. Told nothing there yet. #twolves

With a week plus left until the NBA’s annual February trade deadline passes, there’s still plenty of time for the Mavs trade rumors to kick up and for a potential Kevin Martin deal to be in the works. However for now it doesn’t sound as if anything is being cooked up.
Of course, with the flip of a switch all of that could change and the Minnesota Timberwovles have little reason to keep Martin on their roster so a trade doesn’t seem out of the question. It may not be the Mavs, but Martin may be changing zip codes in the somewhat near future.
