Mavs Banished Rajon Rondo For Being Cry Baby

Rajon Rondo

The Dallas Mavericks thought they acquired an NBA All-Star level point guard when they traded for Rajon Rondo. Sure, he has his warts, but they weren’t that bad, were they?

Apparently so as they two mutually agreed to part ways in the midst of the NBA playoffs, using his bad back as an excuse as to why Rondo would no longer player for the Mavs this season.

But what we all know now is that Rondo won’t play for the Dallas Mavericks again, partly because he was being a cry baby and it was rubbing off on other players.

That’s the word from ESPN who paints a not-so-happy picture of Rondo’s short stint in Big D.

The truth was that the Mavs didn’t want Rondo, who was going to be replaced in the starting lineup regardless, pouting and rubbing off on other players, Monta Ellis in particular. Essentially, the Mavs made a drastic move in an attempt to do damage control on a chemistry crisis.

Silly as this might sound, it’s not the first time we’ve heard of Rajon Rondo being a problem in the locker room and it probably won’t be the last.

Have to wonder how much of a role Dirk Nowitzki played in getting Rondo axed as well.

So take notice, Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant, considering you may or may not have interest in signing him come NBA free agency.
