LeBron James Wants Cavs To Give Him More Rest

LeBron James

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James knows his Cavs will be one of the premier teams in the NBA playoffs, but he also knows the grind of an 82-game regular season schedule can do a lot of physical damage.

Given that, the former MVP is hoping the Cavs give him some additional rest before the NBA postseason kicks off.

“I would love to get some more rest, especially going into the playoffs and knowing how important those games are, and how physically taxing those games can be, mentally as well, so we’ll see what happens,” he told Cleveland.com last night.

It’s hard to blame James considering he not only plays hard on a nightly basis, but is the focus of the opposing gameplan and has to deal with double and sometimes triple teams constantly. Such would drain any player, both mentally and physically, so it’s likely the Cleveland Cavaliers will listen to their star and give him some additional rest.

Of course the last time the Cavs did so, Cleveland fell flat on their face and went 1-7, though you’d have to think such would be unlikely to occur again as James would be back in the lineup once he saw the team struggling so bad.
