Over the past few years, it’s become rather popular to change the Wikipedia page of a particular person, athlete or sports franchise when something important happens.
The online encycolpedia wasn’t too strict over people doing that, often times letting the change remain in place for days or even weeks at a time. That has since changed, but for a few moments last night LeBron James was the owner of the Chicago Bulls on Wikipedia.
James and his Cavs of course defeated Derrick Rose‘s Bulls just moments earlier, eliminating from the NBA playoffs with a 4-2 series victory. That lead to LeBron James being named owner of the Chicago Bulls on Wikipedia.

So why the ‘promotion’ for LeBron James? Well, the former NBA MVP has a knack for giving the Chicago Bulls grief as he’s helped knock them out of the NBA playoffs four times in the last six years, including his tenure with the Miami Heat. So understandably there’s no love lost for LeBron James by Chicago Bulls fans and players, especially guys like Joakim Noah who seemingly have no desire to be friends with basketball’s biggest superstar.
Who can now add owner to his list of achievements, if only for a few minutes.
