Lakers Say Kobe Bryant Has Torn Rotator Cuff

Kobe Bryant

Just when you thought the Los Angeles Lakers season couldn’t get any worse, an MRI reveals that Kobe Bryant has a torn rotator cuff and is out for the foreseeable future.

Yet, that’s exactly what happened as Bryant will now likely miss a significant amount of time thanks to the injury.

The Lakers released the following statement on Kobe Bryant’s injury.

At this point if you’re the Lakers you have to seriously think about shutting Kobe Bryant down for the rest of the season. While the Lakers nor their medical staff has announced a potential return date, torn rotator cuffs are nothing to play around with and can take some serious time to heal. Given that, even if Bryant was able to return to the court in another month or so there’s little reason for him to play outside of pride.

Add in his current injury woes and the amount of pain he says he’s been playing in and putting him back on the court just seems like a poor decision.

At least this will give him plenty of time to go through his recruiting list.
