Lakers Say Kobe Bryant Should Be In MVP Race

Kobe Bryant

I’m no mathematician, but my account, Kobe Bryant has played in 35 games this season.

During those games, Bryant, great as he’s been throughout his career, was a sub-par player. He was taking far too many shots and missing them at a far too high of percentage. Granted, given his Los Angeles Lakers teammates, it’s understandable but Kobe Bryant wasn’t an effective player when he was on the court.

Which is why it’s a bit odd for Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott to suggest that Kobe Bryant be considered for the MVP race this season.

I don’t know what Byron Scott is drinking but I want some.

What would make a man say such? More importantly, what would make one ask a question in which the answer would be Kobe Bryant being in discussion for the MVP award this season? I mean, Stephen Curry, James Harden, LeBron James and an injured Kobe Bryant who played 35-games all in the mix?

Given we didn’t see how Byron Scott said what he did, perhaps he was just trolling everybody and trying to have a little Easter fun. At least, that’s the hope, or somebody might want to put him in a straight jacket.
