Kyrie Irving: Cavs Would Have Beat Warriors In NBA Finals If Healthy

Kyrie Irving

If Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were on the court during the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers would have beaten the Golden State Warriors.

That’s the word from Kyrie Irving himself who says Stephen Curry‘s Golden State Warriors were no match for the Cavs, assuming they were healthy.

“I’m more or less the voice of reason. I’m always gonna be a straight shooter with everyone and give them my honest opinion. Obviously, we had a great thing in Cleveland. We dealt with everything together. I felt like we would have definitely won an NBA championship if everyone was healthy. But almost doesn’t count.”

For what it’s worth, LeBron James somewhat hinted at this during the Finals but never really came out and said it – at least not to the degree that Kyrie Irving has done.

But does he have a point? It’s an answer we’ll never really know as even if Steph Curry’s Warriors meet up with the Cavs in the NBA Finals again, it wouldn’t be completely reflective of what would have taken place this past season.

Alas, it’s a period of ‘what if’ for Irving, James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Thankfully for the Cavs, they’ll have plenty more chances to make the NBA Finals moving forward.
