Remember when Kobe Bryant upset Dwight Howard in their ‘recruiting’ meeting? It appears the Black Mamba might have done so again, this time with free agent big man LaMarcus Aldridge.
That’s the word from Mike Bresnahan who says that Kobe Bryant and LaMarcus Aldridge didn’t really ‘gel’ during their free agent meeting which was put up by the Lakers front office.
What exactly the issue was remains an unknown, but apparently whatever answers Aldridge was said to be seeking, Bryant didn’t have them – or they weren’t what the former Portland Trail Blazers All-Star wanted to hear.

So can you really put the blame on Kobe Bryant here? Without knowing the context of what happened, it’s mildly difficult. That said, this wouldn’t be the first time Kobe Bryant scared another big name player away.
Simply put – Kobe Bryant is the Lakers. And that’s not going to change until he suits up in another uniform or decides to retire.
The fact that there’s somewhat of a track record here, even if it’s Dwight Howard, seems to suggest there could be some truth to the idea of Kobe Bryant scaring LaMarcus Aldridge away from the Lakers.
