When you do bad things to your wife – say like have an extra marital affair in a Colorado hotel room, it costs you a lot of money and apparently a really bad nickname.
Okay, okay – sure that happened quite some time ago – but I’m pretty sure Vanessa Bryant is still unleashing her womanly wrath on Kobe Bryant, because her official nickname for him is ‘BAY-BOO’.
Yeah, there’s no ‘Black Mamba’ in the Bryant household, only ‘BAY-BOO’ as Kobe revealed on Shaq’s podcast.

So Shaq asked Kobe about it, and Kobe admitted that his wife doesn’t call him “Black Mamba” at home. Instead, she rolls with “Bay-Boo.”
“Bay-Boo,” he said, before revealing that he doesn’t necessarily like it. “You can’t do that! I’m supposed to be the Black Mamba.”
Man, that’s going to get thrown around on the basketball court pretty heavily this season.
Seems like Shaq couldn’t let Kobe Bryant go without one more parting shot, even if it was all in fun.
Maybe Kobe’s hoping to use the trolling he’ll inevitably get as some extra motivation.
