It’s been said that Kobe Bryant might be one of, if not the most dedicated professional athletes of all-time.
Apparently, that dedication also slithers down to his wife Vanessa Bryant as well, considering the Black Mamba makes her shoot backwards shots from the free throw line at 4 AM at the Staples Center.
Sound a little too crazy to be true? It gets even better. To go home, Vanessa Bryant must make one of the backwards shots.
Bryant posted a video of the shenanigans on Facebook and on her third attempt, Kobe’s wife nailed the shot.
First off, while it’s pretty damn funny on the part of Kobe Bryant, who in the hell is up at 4 AM shooting jumpers? And if you are, who brings their wife with them to do the same thing? Clearly, Kobe Bryant might be a bit obsessive but that’s what has made the Lakers legend so great.
The idea of Vanessa Bryant having to hit a shot to go home is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but she’s clearly worked on that shot before and has obviously spent quite a few hours in the gym with Kobe Bryant.
Certainly puts a damper on Drake’s infamous “she wasn’t shooting in the gym” line.
