A lot has been made about Kobe Bryant‘s rather unfriendly personality during his tenure in the NBA.
The Los Angeles Lakers great has been known to be relatively hard on his teammates and hasn’t exactly got along with many of them, the most famous of which was Shaquille O’Neal as the two basketball superstars butted heads.
But playing in the NBA isn’t about making friends, at least, that’s what Kobe Bryant thinks as he recently suggested that ‘friends come and go, but banners hang forever’.

I have to admit, that’s a pretty smooth line of reasoning and thinking. Granted, I’m sure a few of his former Los Angeles Lakers teammates would have preferred that the Black Mamba be a little more kind during their playing days, but alas, it’s hard to disagree with what Kobe Bryant is suggesting here.
In fact, a lot of people (and teammates) didn’t exactly care for Michael Jordan either, but that didn’t stop MJ from collecting NBA championships and the same could be muttered for Kobe Bryant as well.
As he says, friends will come and go, but those banners and NBA championship rings on Kobe Bryant’s finger aren’t ever going to go quietly into the night.
