Knicks To Promote Thanasis Antetokounmpo

New York Knicks to call up Thanasis Antetokounmpo, brother of Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo.

With the Amar’e Stoudemire buyout all but completed, the New York Knicks have an open roster spot. But who’s going to fill it? While the team has yet to make an official announcement, the belief is that Thanasis Antetokounmpo will be called up to the New York Knicks.

Currently putting up solid (though unspectacular) averages of 13.7 points, six rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks in the D-League, Thanasis Antetokounmpo probably isn’t going to make the world flip when he arrives at Madison Square Garden.

That said, if he can ever morph into anything like his brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo who is an obvious budding star for the Milwaukee Bucks, fans of the New York Knicks will have plenty of reasons to smile.

With some flexibility to be had on the roster, New York already has a plan in place for what’s next, TheKnicksBlog.com has learned. The team is “ready” to call up Thanasis Antetokounmpo, a source tells TKB and SNY.tv.

It is possible the Knicks will keep the roster spot open until after the NBA trade deadline though it appears as if Thanasis Antetokonumpo will be making his debut in the Big Apple within the next week or two regardless.

Finally a bit of light at the end of the proverbial tunnel for the Knicks.
