Remember when Kevin Durant was the NBA MVP and the OKC Thunder looked poised to bring home an NBA title? Seems like forever ago, but with an injury riddled season behind them, the Oklahoma City Thunder will likely be back atop the best teams in the Western Conference next season and Kevin Durant is already foaming at the mouth.
The formerly quiet superstar is much more vocal these days and says that being overlooked used to anger him. Not any more though as Durant says he loves being overlooked and appeared to fire a warning shot at players like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, letting them know they’ll have competition for the ‘best player in the world’ title.

Somewhere Russell Westbrook is wondering why he wasn’t involved in the discussion.
It’s difficult to know how Kevin Durant will play after his rather serious injury as sometimes players who’ve missed considerable amounts of time are rusty upon their return. Regardless, it seems as if Kevin Durant is taking the slight of him no longer being thought of with players like James and Curry (not sure why anybody would think that, but I regress) seriously and wants to let it be known he deserves equal praise.
