When Kanye West was making beats for Roc-A-Fella records and even emerging as a rapper on the label, he was pretty interesting. But since then he’s morphed into an over-the-top pop singer who refuses to put down the autotune, all while subjecting us over and over to wife Kim Kardashian.
In addition, Kanye West refuses to smile. The producer turned rapper turned whatever the heck he is now, decided to take in the NBA playoff game between LeBron James‘ Cleveland Cavaliers and his hometown Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon and for a quick moment broke character.
Yes, Kanye West smiled. Though if you blinked you would have missed it.
I get that Kanye West is playing out some act here, but come on. Is your life really that bad you refuse to smile, even when it’s appropriate? I’m not asking Kanye West to grin when he’s changing diapers or dealing with paparazzi.
But if there’s a funny joke? Derrick Rose hits a game winning shot? Kim Kardashian releases her selfie book? Anything? There has to be some reason to smile, right?
I’m not sure what was said by Scottie Pippen that resulted in the Kanye West smile, but hopefully there’s more of it to come because the stone cold persona is annoying.
