On Monday afternoon, Julius Randle participated in his first ‘official’ team practice with the Los Angeles Lakers after suffering a devastating season-ending injury last year.
So how did he look? Pretty darn impressive if you ask his teammates.
While Kobe Bryant, Nick Young and some of the Lakers older talents were nowhere to be found, much of the youthful roster like D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and more were in El Segundo preparing for the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League action.
But all the players could seemingly talk about was how good Julius Randle looked:

Russell on Randle: “He’s a go-to player. He’ll be open a lot of times and not even know it. And I’ll find him and make it easier on him.”

Understandably, there have been some concerns regarding the recovery of Julius Randle given the severity of his injury, but it appears youth has been on his side because the accounts coming out of Lakers practice are nothing short of phenomenal.
Hopefully they stay that way for the Lakers sake.
