Jordan Hill, now a member of the Indiana Pacers, spent the past three seasons playing alongside Kobe Bryant with the Los Angeles Lakers.
I’m not sure if he enjoyed his time or not, though, he left with somewhat of a parting shot.
Hill was asked about playing in Hollywood and suggested that during his time with the Lakers, all you heard was Kobe Bryant’s mouth.
“When he’s on the floor it’s like (exhales), all you hear is Kobe’s mouth. He’s on the floor all you hear is Kobe’s mouth, like during practice and games, it get loud. It get loud. A lot of people can’t handle that I guess.”
In fairness, it wasn’t as if Jordan Hill was throwing serious shade at the LA Lakers or Kobe Bryant, but rather suggesting that’s how the style of play is with Bryant on the court.
Such has previously been reported that a handful of NBA players aren’t interested in playing with Kobe Bryant given his hard-nosed ways, which Jordan Hill seemingly confirms here in the above quote. Still, it’s hard to argue with the results as Kobe Bryant has a lot more rings than pretty much any other player in the NBA not playing on the San Antonio Spurs.
