JJ Redick Grades Clippers Offseason: ‘F’

Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers had grand intentions going into NBA free agency.

Re-sign DeAndre Jordan, use their mid-level exception to bring in more talent and let DJ, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul take them back to the NBA playoffs. But now they’re without Jordan, who signed with the rival Dallas Mavericks and a pre-draft trade of Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes ate into some of their depth.

Needless to say, the LA Clippers offseason hasn’t went as planned and guard J.J. Redick is none too happy about it. In fact, the former Duke guard says the Clippers offseason sucked and he’d give them an F as their grade.

It’s hard to blame JJ Redick as the Clippers offseason has been pretty bad, at least by their standards. Of course, they still have a very solid team and there’s plenty of time to bring in additional pieces, although, many of the high quality assets have already signed.

The latest NBA rumor has Amare Stoudemire interested in signing with the Clippers, which probably doesn’t do much for the LA faithful, but it is better than nothing.

We’ll see if Redick is willing to change his grade once October rolls around.
