Things are starting to get dicey come NBA free agency and it appears as if Dwyane Wade is starting to let the Miami Heat know, they need to pony up the cash or else.
Wade has already been reluctant to talk about his team and even talked about them in past tense during his NBA Finals coverage on ABC. Then came the alleged video of Dwyane Wade suggesting the Heat give him the contract he’s said to be requesting as a caption on a Snapchat video (posted to his son’s page) stated “dedicated to the Heat” as Rihanna’s ‘B*itch Betta Have My Money’ played in the background.
Then there’s the photo of Dwyane Wade’s dad wearing a Cavs t-shirt. Yes, a Cleveland Cavaliers shirt. You know, where LeBron James plays – Wade’s former Miami Heat teammate.
So what’s going on here? Is LeBron James recruiting Dwyane Wade? Can James influence get Dwyane Wade to sign with Cavs?
On the surface you’d probably think all these things were just posturing on the part of D-Wade and they might be, but we’ve seen LeBron James work his magic before. We know he loves Wade and the multiple time NBA All-Star is a native Mid-Western guy as he grew up in Chicago.
As of right now there’s a lot of weird things going on with Wade and the Heat, but we still don’t know if LeBron James is recruiting Dwyane Wade to sign with the Cavs – though it’s something to keep watch for, especially if these oddities continue.
One thing is for sure – Wade, who wants to get paid by the Heat, would be forced to take a MASSIVE discount (barring a sign-and-trade) to play for the Cavs which makes the move rather unlikely.
